Where should I live in the country?

I am looking for a nice place to live in the 'country' country. Now when I say country I mean like a farm with space for horses and everything. I am 28, and am about to get married. I hope to have 3 children one day. Does anyone know a nice, countryside town where I could live? Oh, by the way, I would like to be a part of one of those towns where everyone knows each other.
