Not to long ago i purchased an Acer 5610 laptop. it came with windows vista when i got it. i must have downloaded some sort of virus because it crashed on me a while back. ive tried to install windows numerous times ever since. first i tried xp, i used 3 or for different copies just to make sure i wasnt using one that wouldnt work. xp froze midway through installation ever single time, next i used a linux cd and booted into the "live cd", this worked but im not an IT professional and i could figure every friggen thing out. what should i do now? please help im at the end of my rope with this pc!

Baby Hawk?!?!?!?! What should I do?!?

I was walking in my cow pasture, and found a BIG brown baby bird on the ground, I think it might be a baby hawk, but I couldent find and nests around so I left it. After I had fed all the bulls, cows and calfs, (wich took about an hour, dragging all the hay bales out to feed all 38 dairy cows) I went back to see if the birds mother had gotten her baby- and she haddednt. I put on three pairs of rubber gloves from the house, and put the bird in a cardboard box, and put the box in a dark place. I don't see why anyone would get offended at a post being in a language other than their own. I speak Gaeilge and English and I'd respond to a post in either language if it interested/concerned me. I know this is petty but we live in a rural town with a community pool. My two youngest (5yr old twins) take the same brightly colored inner tubes to the pool each time we go. Yesterday we were the only family there with inner tubes and they generally have them on the whole time, so duh, it is obvious they are ours. Everytime we go it seems someone takes and uses the inner tube the second it's put down. This drives me crazy that they don't even ask and their parent also is usually right there. I don't want other people using them as when they bust it then I get to make the trip to Walmart for more to appease a disappointed child (my own). I know some of this is to be expected, but it makes me mad, especially with the other child's parent right there that other kids never ask. Yesterday mine had not had a nap and one had a meltdown, so it was time to go home. So, not only am I trying to get two little boys, one crying to leave, get all our stuff, I get to go ask for our inner tubes back from two tweens.

Dog with Bloody Slimey Diahrrea?

My mom's dog has been getting diahrrea and it's slimey like phlegm and sometimes bloody. I've been telling her to take him to the vet because I'm sick of cleaning it... and he walks around while he poops so it goes all over the place and it smells DISGUSTING. sadly yes. I hate flu shots bc I got the seasonal shot last year and ran a fever and got super tired from it. Sounds like clic flu symptoms. There's no reason to think it's pneumonia. For example, if you had pneumonia, you'd likely have trouble breathing. There's no need to call the doctor at this point--you should get better on your own in 5 days or so. If you find yourself getting worse after 3 days, then you might want to talk to a doctor. In the meantime, sleep a lot, drink lots of fluids, and while you will be laying down a lot, be sure to walk around a bit so fluid doesn't collect in your lungs. Be sure to cough everything out.

Why does one need a prescription for ped meds?

Knee problem: any advice?

Cause of CelticPlus Boiler Ignition out [electric fault]?

I have a celticPlus Boiler which suddenly stopped working and ignition light is out. I went throught the manual and first thing i found was that there is no electricity coming to the boiler. Obviously it was fuse. I replaced the fuse and it was confirmed that previous one was blown. After replaceing the fuse the timer is working and running but there is no fan sound coming from boiler and i cant even ignite it. The ignition system is such that I have to press the flame on for about 14 seconds and then it ignited. I have tried this but I know there is something I am missing. What might have caused the fiuse to blow? and after replacing the fule what i might check step by step to see if i need to call someone special or is it just a minor problem that I can fix.

Is a lack of dating experience something to be ashamed of for a straight guy?

In addition to the above question, should I feel embarred about having ZERO serious relationship experience as a person who is in his late 20s/early 30s? Also, I had an EXTREMELY difficult childhood where I had an abusive father, had to witness my parents' divorce when I was in high school, and had a SEVERE lack of self-esteem during my high school years when most people begin to have relationships with the opposite . Also, I early years of adulthood have been "dry" with respect to being in a position of being able to meet women. I was in the military for five years and was stationed in a town in eastern NC where there were only married military wives so that made it impossible to date. After getting out of the service, I moved out west to CO's second largest town which used to be a balance between military and non-military, but is now mostly all military. As such, the town that I am in now is composed of 90% married military families. I feel that I am stuck here for the next two years as I am currently in college and would be faced with out of state tuition if I moved to a regular college town. I am about to turn 31 (even I don't look nearly 31) and am contemplating transferring to an out of state college despite the out of state tuition. I tend to do very well in an academic sense, but I am 100% socially isolated at school because 90% of the students at the college I attend are locals. I have contemplated transferring to the people's republic of Boulder (aka CU Boulder), but I am afraid that I would be called a "baby killer" and all of that other crap because I am a military veteran. In short, I feel like an absolute freak due to my lack of an ability to attract a woman in spite of the fact that I am very much attracted to women. Weird dream about frozen river?

ok so i was in the middle of no where playing in the snow in just the pajamas i was wearing at night. i was sitting in an inflatable tube sled thing. i was with a friend i dont remember who though. we were relaxing after playing in the snow by a frozen river. well part of it was completely frozen on the top, and then there was a bridge, and then it was running water again. well about 40 feet behind my friend was a house and a gas well in the back yard. (i saw the Doentary Gasland a few days baack).... well i was bored so i threww a rock at the frozen part of the river. i didnt expect it to break a tiny hole but it did. then the whole river started to crack and the crack went back all the way to the house( but still in the river) and then it exploded and the ice and snow went everywhere and all over the house. i was really scared for the result because i thought i would fall into the river. it was flowing really fast. well then i forgot what happened in the end...... what does this mean? please explain

16 month old won't drink anything? what to do?

I'm trying to wean my 16 month old off of the bottle. I have tried pretty much every type of sippy cup there is. From ones with to ones with straws and ones with spouts. There are two problems. She has no idea how to tip a sippy cup or her bottle for that matter. The other problem is that I have finally found a sippy cup that she can use because she doesn't have to tip it at all because it's the kind with a straw that goes all the way to the bottom of the sippy cup. She was using it fine with just water in it yesterday. This morning I have replaced one of her bottles and put the milk in the sippy cup. She drank the milk fine, but she refuses to drink water out of it now. I have no Idea what to do because she won't let me feed her water from the bottle and she won't use this sippy cup now, this is the ONLY sippy cup she is able to use. This problem has been going on for weeks no with me trying to get her to use a sippy cup that she has become dehydrated and it's caused her to become constipated. I have had to take her to the doctor to get a laxative for her because she went 9 days without going poop. This is now again the 7th day without her going poop. I have been giving her the laxative everyday, but because of her not getting any fluids except for milk, the medication isn't working. I'm at a loss for what to do. Any help?

i dreamt that i was the penger in a convertible. i had just met the female driver who was really cool and we were going to meet my friends to snowboard in vt. it was dark and really foggy and we were driving up the mountain. she was speeding, going like 90-100 and i couldn't see a thing. i wanted to tell her to slow down, but it was so fun and thrilling that i decided to just enjoy the ride. as we took a turn, the car lost it and i flew out over the edge of the mountain. i tried to grab onto a tree, but it turned out to be just a broken branch and i started to fall, fall down. as soon as i realized i was falling, i awoke abruptly as if i was never sleeping. it was once of those craziest scary, weird, stick with you all day dreams. thanks!

Why didn't they let HBOS go into administration and start all over again from the wreckage?

I aculated a number of Lloyds TSB shares over a period to have something for my retirement. Lloyds did make a profit in 2008 but HBOS pulled it down with it's huge loss. I suspect it was Scottish votes that made the difference.The government couldn't afford to let it go to the wall, it would cost them too many votes. Well, to tell you the truth, it's actually not that great. It's interesting, but doesn't exactly grab at the reader, or make him want to read more. Maybe add some more details, or try to make something very big happen in the first chapter, to make the reader think its exciting. hi there, well terracotta pots dry out quicker then plastic pots so they will be okay for cactus etc. put some little stones or gravel in the bottom of the pot for about 4cm or 1 and a half inches, deep this will allow a little drainage for the plants. Really the shape of the pot doesnt matter as the last person answered its just for looks, I say the only thing that is good about the plastic pots its easy to remove plants when they get bigger, if the top of the new pots is smaller then the base then its hard to remove plants when they grow bigger, I hope this helps a little, by the way sandy soil definately better for cactus and with the succulents use the sand buy add a little clay soil to it have a happy planting day :)

Windows Media Player won't read .srt file?

My WMP was able to read .srt files when I open the .avi files before. But today, when I opened the .avi files like I always did, it could not detect the .srt files. My DivX player can play the .avi with the subtitles though. I'm use to using WMP, so can someone please help me? Thank you!

You can also be "overweight" and more on the healthy side (football players?) But overall, I agree. I think health is a subjective subject. . .you can have healthy skin, but an unhealthy weight, you can have healthy muscles, but unhealthy teeth. I dont think its so much of an image as it is a feeling. Your perceptions are your "bias." or your opinion. Pregnant women are "overweight", but at what expense? a healthy baby? or higher blood pressure? As far as your comment leaning toward heavier people need more confidence, I think you could find issue on both sides with a comment like that. Well it sounds like you are suffering from anxiety. Was there absolutely anything that could have triggered this? Even the littlest thing could do it. If you think that anxiety is probably the problem then you should probably cut back on some stressful activities or past-times or even if you don't find them stressful you could probably use the time to relax. Do something instead that you find relaxing like some people like to meditate, take baths, read, or do something that they just find fun. Just try to relax more often and hopefully that will help. If it doesn't help or the feelings continue then you might need to ask a doctor.

My Husband has an outstanding student loan from years ago, well they took his taxes every year and then stopped so he thought he was square, we got married in 2005 and filed jointly well, they took our taxes! Better yet ask for a sample large enough to pound on and do your own testing. Even if you can't nick or chip it, keep in mind it will break. How to stop my car from leaking oil?

I have a 1995 1.9L Merc Tracer 4 cyl 88hp automatic front wheel drive. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that the oil sending unit is the place it is leaking. I am wondering where the leak whould come from and if it is easy to fix, whether if it is the sending unit or something else. I have to put in a quart of oil every 2 weeks or so. The puddle of oil is hardly that big (drops of oil) but my car could deceive me. I think I lose most of my oil during my drive to where ever it is I go to. Thanks

FIRST OF ALL....this is really long but I seriously need help! This isn't another stupid yahoo answer question like am I fat or what color should I dye my hair or whats a good movie and stupid things like that this is a very serious question and i am need of real help from people who are willing to give me the best advice they can possibly give me and I really really need it so please take the time to read this in full and help if you can. If your a parent or a doctor or you know anything about my situation please let me know what I can do............Ok SO....my daughter is REALLY BAD!!! She does not do ANYTHING I tell her when she is doing something bad and I tell her no she just continues to do it I have tried time outs I have tried getting down and talking to her and trying to explain that it was bad and teach her to be good but she just won't. I have even finally resorted to which in turn taught her I think that it is ok to hit and now she hits me and her dad other kids that come over she even hits herself when she gets really mad. She freaks out if I even try to disiplin her she will scream for hours and hit and kick and throw herself around and im at my wits end im a first time mother I have no idea how to deal with this my family doesn't know what to do with her either. When she isn't being bad she is great she can be sweet and funny and she is REALLY smart she already can count to 15 by herself and do her abcs almost all in a row by herself but doesnt quite got a few of the letters down but almost every one. She is great at problem solving and understands things I can't even get a 5 year old to understand. She can talk really well and knows lots and lots of words and she uses sentences to explain what she wants or what she is doing. She knows lots of kids songs by heart like twinkle twinkle little star and many many others and can recite them almost word for word. She knows the differences between colors and is able to point out all the basic colors like red and green and blue and yellow and she loves pink. She is really smart she finds ways to get what she wants like she wanted a popsickle out of the freezer and I told her no she looked mad but quickly went over and got the broom and stuck it in the handle of the freezer and pulled the freezer open and stuck the broom in the freezer and began trying to sc the popsickle out of the freezer. That quickly she figured out a way to get what she wanted all on her own. She knows how to turn the volume up or down on the tv and how to work our dvd player she knows how to turn the dvd player on take a dvd out of its case put it in the dvd player push play skip through the commercials to the actual movie then press play again and she never lets us watch anything we have to put the dvd player up so she cant use it. And even then if she wants to watch tv she will go to the tv and repeatedely turn the tv off on us intill we turn it to a cartoon. She is already potty trained and does that all on her own she knows how to lock and unlock our deadbolt on our door so we cannot leave her alone for one second because she can unclock the door and leave anytime she can go up and down stairs all by herself she can even draw circles already she loves to draw and she is drawing almost perfect circles and understands what she is drawing when she does it and she can almost draw a triangle and a heart she even points them out to us and tells us what it is that she drew. She is a delight when she is in a good mood but as soon as she doesn't get her way she turns into a nightmare and will get really mad and she doesn't care what we do I have tried everything I have looked up internet sites for it and its all confusing to me ive taken her to a doctor and they said she is just acting out because of terrible twos but I know she is different then that. Could it be she is understimulated because she is so smart? I really do not know but she will bite and scream and when I tell her no she just yells and tells me know back or does it anyway i have tried confining her to her room but she will scream for an hour straight and bang on the door and i give in and let her out. She knows what she is doing I can tell she understands that she is getting in trouble and she shouldn't be doing something but she thinks she can do anything she wants she thinks she doesn't have to listen to me how can I enforce the rules and get her to calm down and do what I say. I mean she isn't a demon child she can be really sweet she gives me hugs and kisses and cuddles and she loves us both and I love her alot to she can be a real joy to be around intill we try to disiplin her and then she turns into a completely different child. Sometimes we can tell her to do something and she will do it but it doesn't last long and its only sometimes. Then there is times she will just revert to something else and do that instead and its something she knows is bad like she is testing me to see how much she can get

Over 6 months ago I had a very old dresser professionally painted with an oil paint. The inside of the drawers still smell so strongly of paint that I can't put any textiles in them without making them smell also (as I've unfortunately discovered after ruining some linens.) I don't see why it wouldn't work. Although the saran wrap might get ripped up if there are a lot of back roads you're going on with rocks getting kicked up by cars in front of you. The vaseline won't cause any problems, just will take a little bit of time to clean off. If you leave the saran wrap on the car for a long period of time, it may cause paint fading by keeping heat under the wrap and on the paint.

i would suggest going and getting a u/s. bleeding during early pregnancy can be a sign of miscarriage, however many women bleed and there are no problems. im sure you are in the category where it is fine, especially as it is less than a normal period and with no pain, but it is better to be safe and know whats going on.

A bully in the Back yard!?

I was wondering what I can do to stop my dog's bullying behavior! I have a 1 and 1/2 yr. old Rottweiler and a 4 yr. old Collie. The collie was a rescue, he came from a really bad situation and it took us two years to get him to be somewhat himself. When we got our rottie puppy, the collie was protective and took good care of him. They loved playing together in the back yard. once he got to be a certain height I noticed that my rottie grabs the collie's tail and would pull hard! Then he would bite the hair on his and around the collar. Now a days he still does these things, but he also grabs the collie's mouth, Once the collie gets mad and bites him, the rottie comes back and keeps pestering him!! But only outside and when they play inside the house. there is never any aggression with food or water, nothing like that so I don't know what to do?? When the collie eats, the rottie leaves him alone never even bothers him! And why does my rottie keep his nose in the collie's especially when he is going potty. It's like he has to sniff everything! Now my mother-in-law's dog is picking on the collie!! He barks in his face twenty-four seven when they are outside!! I don't get it!

Please help with my constant nasal drainage which only opiates help?

I have a constant nasal drainage in the back of my throat which I cannot cough up or blow my nose, it continues all day and fills my stomach up so badly that I throw up all that mucus or snot. The only thing that has helped is opiates from pain meds. I have no idea how or why it works but I need to have this fixed so I don't have to depend on the opiates. God loves all humans, of all religions, equally with love no mother could have for her child. In every challenge and every obstacle in my life, I have been extremely lucky. I have been blessed with so much that I worry when I see others who have less than me. Most of these people are non Muslims, and morally corrupt, but some Muslims in other countries are also suffering from poverty; and the suffering of other Muslims makes me wonder why God has blessed me with so much. Ever since middle school, I have been fantasizing myself as the world's savior in which through genetic engineering, harvesting other planets, etc., I would redistribute wealth throughout impoverished nations and other fantasized situations. Sometimes I feel as if I'm destined for greatness, and God continues to bless me daily. The symptoms you've mentioned, and the pictures of your rash, lead me to believe you do not have shingles.
